
2nd Swiss Urban Sketchers
Program
This September, the 2nd Swiss USk Symposium will take place in the
Engadine from Thursday noon to Sunday noon. Around 70 symposium passes
will be available.
In addition to the workshops, public sketch crawls are planned in
Zuoz. All interested sketcher are invited to participate and then
to end the symposium at the Lyceum Alpinum together.
Host
The Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz is a boarding school in Switzerland (near St. Moritz) for over 100 years. 200 internal pupils from all over the world as well as 100 external pupils from the region are prepared for the Matura from the 7th to the 12th grade. We are very grateful that we were able to win the Lyceum as partner and venue for the Swiss USk Symposium again.
Accomodation
The Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz offers a limited number of places for accommodation and meals (half board). The rooms are located in the guest house "Convict" (single room, double, quadruple). This offer can be booked together with the registration. Alternatively, there are several hotels in Zuoz and the region.

Capturing the essence of Zuoz. The aim of this workshop is to capture the essence and unique atmosphere of Zuoz using line and tint techniques.

Big Shapes and line detail. The students in this workshop will learn how to use areas of colour, line detail and blank space to construct an urban sketch with fineliners and watercolour.

Germany (Hamburg)
Making your mark – Bright colors and bold shapes with acrylic markers. In this workshop, we will focus on using a new material: Acrylic markers. In contrast to watercolours, acrylic markers are not transparent but opaque, which means you can work light over dark, and cover up marks you already made.

Learn to sketch, draw and paint on the ipad, anywhere and everywhere you go! We will focus on working in Procreate, a drawing program with everything that one needs to create fantastic art.

Capture the view of Zuoz and its surroundings with coloured pencils and sketchbook. We deal with the image detail and proportions. We use different perspectives to represent the architecture.
