Hélio Boto
Hélio Boto was born in Portimão, Portugal, and studied architecture. He collaborates with Urban Sketchers Portugal, and from 2015 until 2018 he helped create and coordinate the Urban Sketchers Algarve group. At the end of 2018, he moved to Switzerland and deepened his love for sketching, exploring new places, and using his sketchbook as a tool for research and development of his sketching skills.

Workshop Language: English (Hélio also speaks French and, of course, Portuguese)

In the workshop, we'll explore some simple compositional approaches to a scene, the notion of time, and narrative in a drawing with the help of color and line. Together, we'll draw different views, details, and moments we note, which we think are relevant to show the spirit and environment of what we are seeing and feeling — connecting sketch after sketch in such a way that we will have one piece of art.
Material:- Sketchbook accordion style with at least 3 double pages (6 pages) or other sketchbook (I have been using A6 size, but people can choose other sizes)
- Drawing and coloring materials people use and enjoy on the go. (I use pens, watercolors and sometimes markers)
