Angela Melody Kummer
Design, art and education are the common thread running through my biography. I was trained as a high school teacher for visual design at the art academy in Bern and taught at various schools. During one year I dedicated myself exclusively to my passion for drawing and continued my education in analog and digital illustration in Vienna. Currently I offer drawing and painting courses for adults at the Volkshochschule Zürich and work as an illustrator.

Get to the heart of your sketch
As sketchers, we have many effective design tools at our disposal to make an image exciting yet balanced, as well as to direct the viewer's gaze. This happens through different weighting in the picture, through contrasts such as light–dark, large–small, colorful–achromatic, cool–warm, dense–empty, straight–curved and fine–coarse. We experiment with different media such as graphite, fineliner, watercolor, colored pencils and oil pastels. Together we create city views that combine spatial depth, concentration on a focal point and a balance of the many facets of a city.
