Tine Klein
Tine’s grandfather was an artist and painted with her. Sketching became her profession as an urban planner (dipl. ING RP) until an illness in her late twenties almost paralyzed her. During recovery, she began training with the artist Leif Skoglöff. The first exhibitions quickly followed, and once she could walk again, she travelled to Asia, where the pen became a language! Today she teaches painting. Profession or vocation? It doesn’t matter, it’s a joy!

Colour is a wonderful way to simplify complicated motifs. To do this, we begin a painting with a generous application of colour, laying the foundations of an image without being able to make a mistake or get bogged down in details.
The hints and simple basic shapes of the colour pave the way for the drawing. On this abstract basis it is much easier to create a loose and generous sketch.
This course is an invitation to play with colour and pen.
Steps:- Observe the place, where are the potentials for simplification?
- Capture the basic forms of the place with a first layer of paint.
- Playfully complement the colouring with drawing.
- Watercolour paint, water, cup
- Fountain pen or fineliner
- Flat brushes preferably two fingers wide, round brushes with a good tip
- Paper: We work with wet techniques. Bring whatever paper you like, but it must be suitable for watercolour. Sketchbook or watercolour paper with backing min. 220 gr. The format should not be too small (min A5).
